Sunday evening (Jan 18) my 2 girlfriends and I made a last minute choice to eat at Bottega on suggestion of our Napa friend.
Too late to get a reservation, we chose to go anyway. Within minutes we scooped 3 corner seats at the copper bar and were able to order from the full menu. Alex the bartender, although extremely busy, helped us make some great wine choices. We shared a variety of gnocchi and pasta dishes (veal tortellini was fantastic) and Buratta with artichoke and lemon was a delight for the mouth. All dishes were memorable. The best came after we paid and we decided to enjoy the outdoor roaring fire and comfy terrace seating, even though the night was cool. More wine and good conversation with other fire watchers. It was a great experience, great food, great ambiance, great people and even Michael made a few strolls through the restaurant keeping watch over his patrons. I can't wait to return.
