I've been to Bottega in Yountville twice now and love it, love it, love it. My Italophile-self is sooooo excited to have a cool, honest, unpretentious, did I say cool, place to hang out with Italian aesthetics from the organic woods and stones to the yummy smells and well-served chaos. It reminds me of a locals-only hub in any Italian town.
The bar has an Uber-Euro vibe, the kitchen is a well-oiled machine o f focused cooks who obviously love what they're doing, the chef's ta ble offers a fun communal dining experience for drop-ins and friends, and the food is rich, comforting, and beautiful. Ok, enough comma delineated sentences. I'm going to eat and drink my way through the menu and enjoy every secondi (excuse the pun!). Thank you for creating this world in our world and let me know if you want to discuss that empty wall space in the entrance. I have th e perfect piece of art (with a story) for it.
